Welcome

2020-05-28: COVID-19 Update

If you need immediate financial or emotional help relating to the pandemic, click here. If you are unable to find the specific information that you need, please call the office line.  Our number one priority is your health and safety.

I hope this message finds everyone doing well and I hope you are able to stay safe.  The courts remain closed until July 1, 2020, but emergency hearings are being heard on a case by case basis and telephonically for Probate & Family, District and Superior courts across the Commonwealth.

As we await further guidance from the courts, please note that electronic filings are being accepted, with each court moving at their own speed. In the last couple of weeks, we have seen some hearings continued, while other hearings have been heard telephonically and in one case, even earlier than usual.  In unprecedented times, we are learning how to adapt to this ever-changing landscape.

We understand that technology has gone from a luxury we would like to have, to a necessity we must have.  Our staff is working around the clock to meet the growing needs of our clients. As a small, local law firm, we have been faced with very difficult decisions. We have been fortunate enough to retain 100% of our full time staff and have decided to invest in your, our client.

We are now able to work remotely, keeping our staff and clients safe. This is our number 1 priority. We have migrated our client management software to a virtual platform and are now utilizing multiple-authentication software to ensure that we are not trading physical safety for data security. We understand how important this is to our clients.

For example, the courts have been accepting electronic signatures for pleadings, financial statements, motions and complaints to hopefully help curb the spread of the virus. We fortunately possess the ability to prepare these documents for our clients. If you are a Reeves Lavallee, PC client or one from the past and need a way to electronically sign a document, please give us a call.  My staff will set this up and walk you through the process in any way that we can.

If you have not been a client of Reeves Lavallee, PC and need the same service, please call the office line with code LAVALLEE2020 and we will try our best to accommodate every request.

We have also been closely following the housing court situation for our landlord and tenant clients.  Please click HERE for our most up to date information. Please also see the Facebook Q&A from March 26, 2020 HERE.

If you have specific questions on the status of your case, or if you want more information, please do not hesitate to give us a call.

From our family to yours, we hope you all are well and safe.

Company Profile

Reeves Lavallee, P.C. is a Worcester area law firm offering services as a general practitioner to the public, focusing mainly on family law, probate, and buying & selling of real estate. One of the top three areas of law in the industry is currently family law, specifically pertaining to divorces, custody, and modifications. Our attorneys have years of experience in these specific fields to assist the needs of the community. Probate law and estate planning are on the rise because the baby boomers are now either: (1) seeking to draft wills and do estate planning, or (2) passing away, thus needing an estate to be probated.
